Improved somewhat the green and yellow, did the pink and purple with a normal brush. Will leave it to rest for about two...

I have heard bad things about Vallejo and airbrushes but great for regular brushing. Sort of opposite with Tamiya. I have a PS771 with the 0.18mm and I use Tamiya so it may not apply to you, but for fine lines 70% Levelling thinner, about 30% paint and lower the air pressure (12psi or so) so you don't get spiderwebs and it works pretty well. Still get tip drying once in a while, but point away from the model, give it a quick full blast and that usually takes care of it. Or, you can keep a cotton swab with thinner on it and just touch it to the airbrush tip and that will usually fix it too.

Vallejo has an airbrush flow improver product. Maybe that would help.

Mick - yes, using the tracks that were in the kit.

Jakko - that sounds like a reasonable idea. I'm quite far along the construction of the lower hull, will build some links of the tracks.

The way I normally do this is to put links together until I get bored with the job, then put them aside again and continue later 🙂 I would also advise to first clean up all the links and put them in a container, rather than cleaning up some and putting them together, then cleaning up some more, etc.

Very slow progress over summer, but finally had some little time to continue with masking.

Calling it done. Some issues with Gunze GX 100 varnish, as it covered areas with spider-web like threads. After remixing it in a larger airbrush cup and more Mr Leveling thinner, all was good again.
Finally gave it an oil wash and put on all small pieces I didn't loose 🙂

Any recommendations for masking fluids? I used Vallejo, it dries quickly (small bottle, same as their paints), ABT 502 in a larger bottle (dries even faster)

Thank you, Neil and Jennifer - can only recommend this one, if you are into WW2 machines - and based on your albums, you are 🙂 . Beautiful detail and fits together very well. No aftermarket needed.
