Started on the Tamiya 1/32 Phantom II, but as this is my first F-4 Phantom, I wanted to try out the ZM kit first. A little more forgiving and will hopefully give me more context. So far the kit is coming together well. I will say that there are a couple of areas that need attention prior to assembly. The air intake is two horizontal halves and the seems need to be filled from the inside, which is not an easy task. Unfortunately, I neglected to take care of this as I thought they wouldn't be seen. Im pretty sure they will be.
The bigger question is if you know it's not right, but it cannot be seen, do you still go through the trouble of fixing issues that are not visible? This is a philosophical question. If a tree falls in the forrest, but no one hears it...did it make a sound? As I go further into the hobby, my answer is usually yes. It's a craft. There's no deadline. I'm trying to improve my skill level. And finally, I know its there.
