Personal interest:
This model represents a MiG-23BN flown by the Iraqi Air Force during my service in Operation Southern Watch. Iraq had 18 operational MiG-23BN aircraft at the time. Use of the MiG-23BN strike aircraft was rare, as the aircraft was quite vulnerable to coalition combat air patrols. Nonetheless, it was used on occasion to attack anti-regime militias within Iraq.
