Thanks, @Doubtingmango. I love adding stowages, it helps make the model more interesting.

It might just be me but 1/72 and anything smaller than 1/72 (planes only) is just a toy but anything bigger feels like a true model you put your heart and soul into :/

I agree with Spanjaard.
I previously only built 1/48 models. Now I've switched to mostly 1/72 because I find them more of a challenge to build and detail. I'm much more impressed with very detailed small scale builds than I am with larger scale models. Some of the 1/72 and smaller models I've seen on Scalemates are phenomena, not toy-like at all.

Depends on the quality of the build. A 1/32 plane smothered in thick acrylic paint can look a whole lot worse than a 1/72 Christian Bruer build.

True but just the size of 1/72 scale planes are the perfect size to hold in your hand and play with like a metal diecast plane. Plus with the quality that some builders put into their builds they do look and feels like pre builded planes.

Most of these look like 1/48 or larger to me 😉

If you wanted to play with them they would be ideal but I assumed you were an adult. When I was a kid I loved to play with my three 1/24 Airfix models. Scale isn't the qualifier to attribute the phrase 'toy-like', generally it's the quality. I've seen plenty of 1/48, 1/32 and a few 1/24 models I would describe as toy-like. Having said that I would never say it because many modellers would see it as an insult.
I know you have only just joined Scalemates and may not have seen some of the remarkable 1/72 & 1/44 builds other members have posted. Here's a few for you to look at and wonder if you would still think they can be dismissed as mere toys.

Those are a few of the aircraft builds (there are many, many more), there is another rich seam of 1/72 vehicle models on this site as well.
