TreehuggerBtw, there are two tiny thingies at both end of the big wings. These are nav lights of sorts. Red on the left side, and blue on the right side, according to some paint chart I've seen recently.

NeilHi all 🙂 I've finally got around to taking 'reveal' pictures for many of my previous build albums. I shall be updating each and including a few build notes in the description too - especially on the bits I messed up!
Here is my version of that 'Blu Petter' kit for the Airfix Saab Viggen completed in 2021. Excuses alert! It wasn't the best fitting kit, being an earlier Airfix effort.
Thanks to all who showed interest and liked, it's greatly appreciated 👍

NeilHi Gary, Daniel and CaptGPF, thanks very much mates. Really appreciate you talented bunch commenting. I too love the kit colour scheme on this one and with hindsight; and an acceptance of some kit flaws, in my opinion it builds up into a pretty decent kit for an older Airfix one 👍 Thanks also to all those who've liked my efforts here too 🙂

Dave BurgessThis an absolutely TERRIBLE kit! It looks like a Chinese (Mister Craft?) knock-off of the Tamiya kit, complete with diagrams that look like they've been copied from the Tamiya instructions. Unfortunately, they didn't copy the parts! The kit quality was horrible, very little detail, and what detail was there looked like it was scribed in with a chisel. Landing gear struts molded into the L.G. doors, a laughable ejection seat that looks NOTHING like the depiction in the instructions, and really crappy soft plastic with a really rough surface. Still, I got it for the livery (Starblazers) and decided to do it anyway. That is, until I started decaling and found the decals SO fragile, that they shattered as soon as I laid them down and tried to position them. The four wing panel decals each had several cracks running through them even before I started to cut them off the sheet. I'm going to try to find a better Starblazers decal sheet, but quite frankly, it's not worth wasting it on this kit. Mister Craft's F-84G has been consigned to the waste basket. I won't be purchasing any more kits from this Chinese P.o.S. manufacturer! I'll get another Tamiya kit instead!

Erik De SmetYes, indeed a terrible kit. The kit seems to be a copy of the very old FROG kit, and the molds are still used and re-issued by several POLISH brands , including Mistercraft, Big Model etc. with equally poor decals. The Tamiya kit is by far the best, but is sold out almost everywhere. The Academy/Italeri is also good but hard to find, The heller kit is obsolete too. ColinI feel your pain. Out of the two Mister Craft kits that I have tried (a Harrier and a SU-20), both had horrible mismatch between the instructions and the parts that were actually included. The Harrier kit even had the wrong amount of pieces advertised on the box (over 30 pieces less than advertised). You really get what you pay for with this brand.

Falk RölligWelcome mates. In 1:72 scale 3D decals are a way better than pe and my hands are to shaky to paint. I use them for most of the models with open canopies. For inflight models and with pilots i think it's not necessary. With Kelik and Eduard 3D i'm not always happy, but Quinta for me it's the first choice.
