It's mostly about new trade items posted by SM members, since new kits from shops are not so difficult to find.

I also had made this same suggestion last month. It would be great having the option to receive an email notification when a wishlist item becomes available in the marketplace.

Please check the SCM Newsfeed which has plenty of extra options to quickly filter the private trade section.

Hi Mike, It's much better indeed, and a great general improvement.

But isn't there a simple way of linking one's personal 'Wanted" list to the "For trade" list of the other members and have it appear on a specifica page ? Or as a search criterion ("Available for trade"😢 ?
Alternatively, what about a weekly message of available matches that one could opt in or out of in the preferences ?

Perhaps a separate notification type, appearing on a new icon, that the wishlist item is now available as a Trade or from a shop in your chosen currency. And maybe even Vice versa, notify sellers that there are people with thee items on their wishlist (although they could do that by checking the kit page)

Perhaps also an option when placing something on your wishlist to include all variants of a Kit or not, or even select them from a list of variants, removing automatically when one is moved to On-order or Stash?

All variants, would probably will be too complicated, and would add to much staff... besides, if i want a specific kit, i do not want to see variations of it, it will get me nuts😉. and removing automatically does not seem a good idea either. besides, when you put it on order, the best is to change the status yourself, rather than adding it, isnt'it?

I Did say Option. For instance, I recently had the Dodge Deora on my wishlist, I really didn't care which kit release I got as long as I got one. Likewise with the Tamiya 1/12s, all kit releases would be on my wishlist until I get one of that type, then all are off my list.

I guess it depends on your preferred category, Cars get so many reboxes without other significant change, it doesn't often matter which one you get. Whereas, I can see with Aircraft that the builder will likely want a specific release, as reboxes tend to come with different decal options.
