Something small and cheap (4€) this time. Main parts together, now some putty and sanding.

A not too shabby set taking the price into account, some minor gaps but nothing serious that would'nt be tackeled with some putty and sanding.

The landing gears are so out of propotion that I decided to go with closed bays. Had to fill the front bay with putty as the hatches didn't fit in any way. Once dried I'll scribe the seams to the hatch. The main gears hatches fit equally bad, needs some filling and tuning

Black primed the thing, will probably need some fine tuning and sanding once properly dry. Then I'll fit a 0.2mm needle to my airbrush and start marbeling the panels.

Second priming done today as I sanded quite a lot of the first layer away while smoothing scratches from the wings and fuselage. Marbeling tomorrow.

Marbeling completed, came out ok. My 0.2 needel was crap, had to go back to 0.3 mm

Top-coat Tamiya XF-20 medium gray (70% thinned) applied, looks ok. Next up masking the nose and aft before detail painting.

Edit: Zooming in on the surface it looks like crap 😂 Cleaned up the surface a bit with a 2000- and 3000-grit sponge. A bit better now.

Exhaust, nose cone and fin details painted. Ready for some gloss varnish before adding decals

@Ellis, it is big. Roughly 15 x 6 cm

First wash of Tamiya Black Panel Liner added, clean up with turpentine in the morning followed by oils.

Went a bit over board with the weathering, looks more like a badly held Soviet plane… Might still do a bit of clean up before matt varnish.

Varnished and pending stand/base. Not fully happy with the outcome, the surface is far from good and close ups show how bad it is. Lucky it is a 1:144 and from 30cm away ot looks fairly ok.
