Nice cockpit - needs work to set it in correctly. I cut away the plastic guides to make job a little easier

Flaps cut and positioned - you can see one of the solid wing tip lights cut out

Going ‘free hand’ at this scale is not an issue - I mean you only need a suggestive interpretation

Free hand masking - listen to an audio book or some chill music and take time!

Pilot tube should be replaced - I didn’t bother, maybe next time. But any case drill cavity for it because there is nothing

Mottles for me at this scale are tricky. Need more practice.

The underside is ok although you don’t really see it - typical!

The inspiration. The placard says “Congratulations on your 250th aerial victory”

Aircraft will need to be weathered. Figures detail painted and that should more or less be it

This kit is also the 'Special Hobby' kit - only without the 'Special' which includes PE, canopy sheet, and resin wheels. At this scale I don't think it makes much difference.
£20 for the former and the same for 3 kits without decals and other bells and whistles.
A nifty thing is AZ tells you in the instructions what sources they used to design the kits
