Work in Progress - Ford Model A
One of the aforementioned mishaps: this is what a spoked wheel looks like when you've rolled over it in a swivel chair! Fortunately, there are 2 sprues with 3 wheels each and 5 are needed.
There is a deep hole in the wheel hubs?! In the instructions it looks as if is a small Ford logo there, but no kit part or decal. It looks like something is missing. I asked ICM, but apart from the information that they would sort it out, I have heard nothing more.
Ok, I then hot drew a sprue and glued in cones, sanded and chromed, see the finished pictures for the end result.
The manual says "Deep red", so I used Gunze H327.

The kit contain some linkages for brakes and more as 0.5mm thin plastic. But I broke one already (the ICM plastic is very soft and brittle) while cleaning the 7 sprue gates and mould lines so I replaced it with brass wire. The linkages would have broken during handling during the building process at the latest.
I tried to build as much as possible to paint it later black at once. The engine is only plugged in.
In close view.
Dry fit with the upper parts.
View from below - the fit is great, if all parts are glued in correct positions and direction.
Exhaust - different Alclads and a bit of rust red
The engine prepared for painting.
ICM suggest dark steel, black or a dark green.

After I found the restored car (see link in Album description) I added some blue to dark green.
Spark plugs are kit parts, I only added wires.

All additional parts like starter and generator are added afterwards.

Engine mounted.

Seats, fenders and cabin painted and mounted. The doors handles are chromes with brush.
Decals are provided for the instruments.
There are little light bulbs provided for the head lamps 👍 Be careful, no spares!
After I chromed the lamps inside I glued the bulbs in. After drying glasses closes the lamps.
Another little accident: Some vibrations during handling loosened a bulb, so I had to open the headlight glass again.

The door handles are hard to clean, as the sprue gate is on outside. I painted them with chrome after gluing them to the doors.
Another wonderful little detail: coiled leather strips,
Another reason why this kit is may be hard for beginners: little decals for the bumpers! I cut away the large carrier film.

Model building accidents do happen. It's good to have spare parts. But I'm sure you could manage without spare parts.
I like old cars. They breathe nostalgia and the memory of a time when things were made simply and care was taken to make them last as long as poss

Welcome Martin and Ludvík!
I just uploaded the last pictures with little details. Sorry I have not made more during the build.
In case you have not seen the final pictures of the model - don't miss the final Album attached to the project!
That's it, see you at the next project!

Even though the model is already finished, I would still like to show some pictures of the building process and point out certain points.
It's a great kit, but I don't think it's suitable for beginners.
A nice set of reference pictures can be found here:
