Zvwzda Su-30SM “Flanker-C” build log

And so it begins, coffee on the table on a Sunday morning and the first pieces of the kit off the sprew.

The kit is amazing and it has 386 parts. It won’t be an easy project, but I hope I’ll have fun with it. 

This is the target: the “Sevastopol” variant based in Crimea at the Black Sea Fleet. 

Top will be Eggplant gray and the belly is the new Flanker camouflage scheme that can be found on the Su-30SM and Su-35S. 

Cockpit interior work ongoing. There are 12 decals in total for the buttons and screens!! ❤️ interior painted with AK Air Superiority Blue, the schematic reference to a gray interior is wrong. 

The fit is OK but not perfect. After I’ve put the aircraft together I found out that sanding a bit the bottom of the cockpit interior helps a lot get the fit into place.

I’ve got the recommended paints from MRP for SU-30SM and I’m really looking forward to using them.
