So, as I had put before, we start with a splash of 140, then move to detailing it..

We do the black which I use Hu RC401 for, details picked out with artists pencils (grey and red)

some dirtying of the floor too

So, fuselage is together with wings and before I go further, its that time to play the colour match dance..
So much so, while listening to some classic Huey Lewis and the News, I came up with new words for one of their songs.

Instead of "And get the honky-tonk blues" Its now "And get the color-match blues

and before you come at me, yes, I know its a cover.

Welp, about a half a litre of paint, 5 meters of tape and this is where we're at. never have I had to strip and repaint a model more time's than this one

Oh and for those of you insane enough to try and replicate the colour scheme... good luck,

The dark blue is actually a two coat solution to get that colour, first is Airfix (yes seriously) M27, then a thin over coat of Humbrol acrylic 104.
The grey is humbrol 128
Then the other blue is a custom mix which was a nightmare

So, we're nearly there, some minor bleed issues to correct then its ready for gloss coat and decals.

Interesting camo, although swirly blue would be better camo to blend in with your desk. 😄
