La Chevy de Pedro

Quite ineressting the story around the car (not only the naming in Argentina). I like it, when people built their original car as a kit. It looks good in silver and of cause - with the vinyl roof 🙂
Album info
My grandfather Pedro bought a Chevrolet Chevy Super Sport (Chevy SS) in 1970. It's worth mentioning that this model was known as the Chevy Nova in the United States.
Interestingly, here in Argentina, there's a big confrontation between Ford and Chevrolet fans. And "Chevy Nova" wasn't a good name: "NOVA" would be used as "No va," meaning it won't work. 🙂. So the brand name was changed to "Chevy SS."
In Argentina, the car had a 250 cubic-inch inline-six engine, while in the United States it had a 350 cubic-inch V8. I built it OOB, with the idea of building a model of the inline-six engine at some point.
The colors are almost identical to the original car. The roof had a black vinyl cover, which I made by sponge painting. The model also bears the original license plate number.
