You're doing great, Augie! Photoetch takes some getting used to, but the results are worth it. Soon you'll be a PE Jedi! 🙂
I built this kit in its MiG 23 version, back when it was sold by ESCI. Late 70s maybe? Long before I ever used photoetch, washes, filters, pastels, etc. I thought clear flat varnish was a big thing back then! Here's the old kit, it builds up nice I think:
