Wiring attached - copper is electrical wiring and the black wire is the fishing line pre-colored with a sharpie.

Thanks! I thought I would try some of the weathering techniques I normally do on 1/35. Turns out it was not so bad, but doing a pin wash and putting on Mig pigments required one of my smallest brushes!

And another proof that even an old and ugly kit can make a beautiful model.
The main ingredient is a gifted modeller, as you are!
Congratulation

Wow, I know the kit I've build it years ago.
And achieving this with this kit deserves respect.

Wow! Congrats on a beautiful build 😮. Did you use solder for the external wiring on the rocket launcher? Keep up the great small scale stuff.

Hi David - No I just bent the wire to shape and super glued it into place. I drilled a hole in the turret and measured and cut wire to each section for the ignition wires. The "support cable" is number 2 fishing line, super glued to the bottom tubes, then tightened with some match heat. I added an image showing the wiring before painting.

Thanks, Paul. I have to say that I am also in awe of your super-convincing, beautifully restrained (i.e. perfect for the small scale) paint/weathering job. Simply terrific!

Thanks! Instead of using a medium size brush I used one of my tiny detail brushes picking up a couple of dots of pigment at a time. Ruined the brush but happy with the results.

Album info
This is a newer issue of the of the old 1960's Airfix M4 Sherman. It comes with a new sprue to build the launcher. I detailed the M4 by adding extra armor to the sides and front with sheet sprue. I also added a side skirt mount by attaching a tiny strip with mounting holes drilled to each side. I also added brush guards and lifting hooks made from floral wire. For the launcher I drilled out all 60 tubes and added both support and firing wires using fishing line and electrical wire. The only drawback was the crappy vinyl tracks!
