Hello Ronald. The finished product looks great! I see in your profile that it is a Heller kit. How was it to build. Is the rigging and sails string and fabric or are many or most of the parts plastic. Just curious, as I have always wanted a Victory of my own but not ready to take on a full wooden kit.

Hi Allan, The build it self was pretty right ahed, no real problems. But the sheer amount of parts are overwhelming (More than 80 cannons are made of 8 pieces each!!) The rigging is mad from real rigging thread and sails are made of fabric. The model came with plastic sails which not looked great. I stated the project in the early 80's and had to stopped it in 1985 because of family and career reasons ( i moved a lot to different locations) 2006 i finally found the time to start again with building modells. A lot had happened with the hobby during this time and 2007 i started to restarting and finishing the Victory. In 2009 i showed her her i Gothenburg on a model Show from which the pictures originate. Feel free to contact me if you have further question about this model

Thanks Ronald. Patience is a virtue! I hope the changes you were going through have settled down and you can enjoy the hobby again.
