Ingmar StöhrHi Ed, I'm not entirely sure, but most likely they would be used to secure a sailor with a rope when doing maintenance or some paint work. You find similar rails around the whole bridge, e.g. for cleaning windows or repairing something from the outside

The resin hull had a substantial warp to it. So I build a device to pull the hull straight while heating it to around 80...

Spanjaardinteresting idea, I do not know if I would have dared to do it, even with resin (certainly not with plastic). I read about using hot water, but I guess that the oven makes more sense in this case 🙂

Ingmar StöhrWell, I had no choice but to try something. 80°C in the oven is not very different from hot water. It only takes more time. And it worked just fine.
