Thanks guys!! I have to say that this kit was everything it was hyped to be. The engineering and fit were beautiful.

Ah, now your talkin' mate. Just beautiful to see Tony (is that ok ?) and I remember watching the old WW2 footage on "Victory at sea" on TV when I was a kid, of the Dauntless.

Holger - I know, I know. I look at my bench and count, what? Five AFVs under construction to one plane? Due to lack of space AFVs are somewhat easier for me. I can build AFVs without painting, whereas generally planes require a painted cockpit first while I have a little boy often "bumping" my elbow. I have what may be a solution by building his helicopter as he requested.
Thanks for noticing the 262B in the picture. That one was a labor of love as I cannot tell you how many times my little boy broke parts off of it during the build. I finally had to order a new sprue to replace parts. After I finally finished it I was transporting both kits in a box to show a friend when my teenage son, while not looking, piled boxes on top!!! After clutching my chest and fainting, I found the SBD was fine but the 262B and taken yet another hit! So the SBD goes to a shelf in my office while the 262B awaits further refit... 🙂 🙂
Great thing about modeling, it is the one area of life where a complete disaster can be a lot of fun to fix. 😉

Oh i know the destructive energy a lil boy can have! Its the same with my 9 year old. When i´m at work or dont see him, he loved to play with my models... But i made him clear that his lil fingers has to be keept by him. Slowly he understands that now...LOL 😄

Yes, very slowly. I tried buying hard plastic snaptite kits and he destroyed those too. He has finally stopped going onto my work area, but I still leave finished kits on high shelves just in case. 😉
