@Gary: Yes. I plan to expose the engine and gun bays. At least it will save me the pain of fixing the awful fit of the cowl 🙂

I can remember building this kit years ago. Can remember that the cowl was certainly not the only issue. It was a real pain to make something nice out of the kit. Building the Hasegawa version after the Tauro was a real relief. But your build is looking very promising sofar!
