Last sanding, base colour and post-shading done. Next stop future....
I used Tamya NATO black with 20% white as base colour and added more and more white in the different layers of the post-shading-process. Never done post-shading before and neverever in 1/144.

Looking good! Those heavy panel lines could be reduced a bit tought..

@Edgar: Thank you - let's see how much is left of the panel lines after Future, washing and matt cote.
@Christian: No kidding. I added a picture just for you. 🙂

Mann, Mann, Mann. Du bringst mich noch dazu, meine Bausätze au anzufangen. Sehr schön lackiert bisher.

@Edgar: I like 1:72 a lot more but 1:144 is nice for a small build in between some "big ones".😉
@Björn: Tu es!😉
Today I started painting the smaller details and added some more details to the main rotor.

Yes, yes, but still, 1/144 is a great scale.. 🙂
Very nice rotor cables!

The rotor was painted using different shades of Tamiya XF-1. I didn't wanted to use NATO black to give the model a little bit more life.

Thank you!
Next steps were made. The metal edges of the rotor blades were painted, future applied and the decals are in place. Those were the smallest decals I ever used. For example: the tail-number is composed of 5 single numerals and on every inlet-cone are 2 small "no steps" decals.
Of course now the contrast of the decals is way too high so I'll have to apply a filter of highly dilluted paint. I'm not sure, which colour I'm going to use.

Wow, sieht gut aus. Die Decals sind ja wirklich extrem hell. Da kannst du ja fast Mattschwarz in den abschließenden Klarlack 'reinmischen.

I used a blackish brown for the wash and filtered with highly diluted TAMIYA black with a little bit white in it. for matt cote I used Xtracrylix flat varnish and I always love the moment when I can remove the masks from the model.

Thank you so much.
The build isn't on hold but time is always short and the last hours were used to build new flare dispensers from scratch (see pic 19). Dragon only offers one per helicopter so I had to build additional ones anyway.
I used styrene, wire and some leftovers from the pe-box. For the angled flare dispensers I need 6 pe parts per dispenser (3 on each side) and I didn't finally decide how to build the other ones. On my reference pictures there are 4 flare dispensers per helicopter: [img1]

That's it. ALQ-144 was done by wrapping it in aluminum with tiny parallel scratches on it. Now I'm waiting for the weekend and nice weatcher to take the rollout-pictures. Thank you all for your kind comments.
