Oh, cardboard box is the 1/48 B-58. Got it for 10 bucks with no box and no decals. I got a set of the Caracal decals, but I had to get them from Oz. They were out of production at the time. Ended up costing a LOT due to postage. Then, a few months later, Caracal decides to re issue the set. I was livid. LOL

That's a nice Sabre Dog you have there! Too bad it doesn't have Dutch decals. 😉 But you make up for it with a lot of (recce) Phantoms! 🙂

Patrick, I have yet to decide which scheme I am doing on that kit. I really like the German scheme. But I also like the US plane with the orange markings. It will be a game time decision I think. LOL

Its funny you mentioned the Sabres. There is a different boxing of the Monogram kit with some nice extras up for auction on a FB site I use. Watching it. May bid on it. LOL

Hey Don, what got you hooked on the airplanes? Military experience, or your work, or just an avid airplane lover? I have been around people that were pilots and that's how I got my appreciation for them, even been to a EEA convention! You do some great work and research on these! I was just wondering . Tks Tim

Tim, several things. My father was career USAF. He was a flight mech on Hueys, CH-3 and CH-53s. AF spec ops in Nam, etc etc. Then I was in as a loadmaster on C-141s. Plus, I just plain love aircraft. Hopefully going to start taking classes to get my pilots license here soon.

And thank you for the compliments! 🙂

I had a feeling you had an air force back ground either you or a family member. Planes are cool and amazing! Best wishes for you getting your license! Keep up the good work!

Are we clones Donald. My father was career Air Force also, F-86's, F-100's and F-106's. I was in the civil Air Patrol as a kid. Learned to fly there, but joined the Army, as there was a waiting list to get in the AF, and this was during the Vietnam war. So I did Heilo's UH-1 and CH-47. I have always been an airplane nut.

Cliff, that's awesome man! My step grandfather took my father down to join the Marines. Thankfully the marine recruiter was out to lunch. So the Air Force guy was there and dad went into the Air Force.

Yea I had thought about the Marines also, but my best frienf had joined the Marines, he was home on leave when I decided to go talk to the recuiter, he put a stop to that real quick. He was an A-6 mech. He once got blown off the flight deck of the Forrestal by a taxing F-4. HE WOUND UP IN THE DRINK.

Surviving the fall is an accomplished in itself. Getting picked up another. Lucky man

Yes he was very luck indeed. There are nets around the edges of the flight deck, to prevent that very thing, but he said he just looked at them as he sailed over them.

Wow! That's some kind of powerful jet wash then... Amazing!

Was always a huge fan of the Monogram bombers, I had several years ago. And yup that B-36 takes a lot of shelf space!

Tim, it wasnt on the shelf when I took those pics. I have one built, scalemates.com/profi..ms&album=31762#7, and two more. I combined both of those kits into one box. I also have two more sets of the Caracal decals.

Album info

Well, its my stash. LOL The kits anyway. Not the extras like PE and such. And not as large as many. There are right around 140 kits there. And I am expecting another big girl here in the next couple of days.

I got the Monogram 1/72 B-36. Finally managed to win an auction for one. Been wanting one for a long time now as I built it back in the 80s. I want to do it now considering I much better than I was then.
