Interesting Idea. How do you attach the pillar to the Kit? I once tried cyanacrylate Glue and my SR-71 went down....

Udo, I drill a hole into the fuselage of the aircraft, this hole's diameter being the same as that of the acrylic rod. Then I dry fit it to see if the rod fits ok, if needed I make the hole a little bit larger using some round files. I then carry on with the build, once she is finished I simply pop the aircraft on the rod, it I want to make it more secure than I use a 2 part epoxy glue to glue it in place. I hope this helps.

You stole my ideia! hahahaha I'am planning a very similar build, but with a Rafale flying over its home base. Already have an old portrait frame for it. Will try to get a good image of the real airfield with Google Earth and see what I can do with it. Definitely will use your build as inspiration! Good work!
