Thanks Bart!
The frame is a proof of sound German engineering- when I built the basic frame, it twisted easily in every possible direction.
Then, with every cross-member and strut added, it became stiffer and stiffer 🙂

Welcome Ingo!
And thanks, but...I'm not a master.
I'm just a guy (with grown up children), who loves facing modelling challenges and has enough time to look for their solutions.
Plus-I love building from scratch.

Thanks Stefan!
I'll soon finish this 3 parts (Henschel 33, Pf.11 and Halbponton) build.

Treehugger, Bart-thanks for your comments!
Halfponton is painted and partially weathered, but I have to relocate some load items on the trailer.Otherwise the halfpontoon won't be sitting on it nice and neat...

Thanks Holger!
This build is closing completion. What I basically need to do is weather all three vehicles(the Henschel, the Pionierfahrzeug and the Halbponton) and add some minor details, that I left out for the Endspiel.

Thanks,Gorby!
Not sure you can learn much from me, but I really liked the way you dealt with the plethora of rivets in your A7V scratchbuild.
I see a lot of learning possibilities for me in your splendid build!

I found out recently-when building the load of Pf.11, I somehow missed the fact that the Übergangschiene(8t) is arched, not flat...
Scratchbuilt one-using AFV Club's Assault Bridge as refference- according to the measures from the B Type Bridge Manual I own.
Here it is, painted, partially weathered and mounted on the Pontonwagen.

Joerg, Rui, Olly-thanks for these kind words, gentlemen!
Yesterday I was sent some(60+) pictures of a surviving Pf. 11, exhibited at the Museum of Engineer Units in Svishtov, Bulgaria!!!
I secretly hoped there was at least one-of the 32 trailers, delivered in 1943-kept somewhere and I was proven right 🙂
Thus the last knowledge gaps were covered and there will be some additional modelling work to be carried out.A neverending story 🙂

The research part of our hobby is sometimes more fun than the building part, I think 😄

Definetely, at least for me!
I also find it is a rule of thumb, that you never get the missing information before you finish what you build 🙂
