Kraken eats Destroyer
The tiny Fujimi kit
Basic construction took an hour
Kit built on diorama base
Milliput Kraken added to broken Destroyer on base
Adding the PVA wood glue for water effects
Primed in Stynylrez black then PVA white wood glue added for water effects
Looks psychedelic but the glue will dry clear
Light grey airbrushed from only the starboard side
Shadow effect on my port side to enhance fine details
The final effect with eyes, lifeboats, search lights and blast bags painted white
Port side had added dark wash to enhance the shadows
By keeping it monotone I achieved a cartoon effect
Dark and menacing. The Kraken was released
Silver Medal in my Model Club competition

Built the Fujimi 1:700 Japanese Sakura Destroyer model in an hour, hardly read the instructions... bent it in two then slapped on some PE rails, which didn't fit or align at all. Painted it black and randomly covered in PVA glue. Sprayed some grey only in one direction... then splashed on a few dabs of white. Total time 3 hours. Care factor: zero. Fun factor: 100%
