Lancaster Interior Construction and Paining

This image shows the two rear turrets aligned with the inside of the fuselage halves. Using plasticard, 2-part putty, an aluminium can cut into thin strips, and different gauges of fuse and copper wire I have reproduced the variety of details present in the rear of the craft. I will likely be displaying the rear turret doors open to make these details visible. 

Construction has begun on the cockpit enhancements. Most of the changes will happen on the side walls, behind the pilot's chair and in the lower front portion (where I have added a new floor panel and metal frame.

The undercarriage has been glued in for now, with the rear wing half still removable. This is so more details can be added later and the inside can be painted as this will be visible later.

The nose turret was detailed with scrap materials. 

A lot of time was spent with a sharp knife carefully scratching out the insided of these engine mounts to create the cavity which should be there.
