eduard's PE isn't fitting at all
new scratchbuilt spar and test fit of the PE
all the PE parts seem to be too short by 1-2 mm

starboard wing good to go, seam on the port wing needs some attention - once more
the dreaded wheel well issue
even worse from inside

added styrene from a tape template

smoothed out to a circle - much better
now the wheel can sit in the right (lower) spot

this should do fine as the main fuel tank

the stock tailwheel assembly - needs to be inserted before closing the fuselage halves

ANA621 applied - I used 2/3 H57 and 1/3 XF-24

replaced the antenna mast with a brass strip
decals are on!
washing applied
neutral grey for the white parts and a darker grey for the upper parts
a little repair on the insignia
underside coated with a semi gloss
weathering: exhaust and slight gun stains
aaaand of course damaged the white paint near the exhaust...

one step back: the paint on the hub came off with the mask

the a open canopy is a no fit
overall standing right now

I'd let it sith there a little longer - maybe somone will release a new tool Wildcat.
Ideally the same quality as the small scale kit from Arma Hobby 😉

@Paul: I haven't build or seen the eduard WIldcat in the flesh, but if it's anywhere near close to their other recent releases, it'll be lightyears ahead of the Trumpeter one 😉
