Interesting. I have been wanting to try create a similar weathering effect using Abteilung oils, and relying on the few shades of gray there is.
I thought at first you had painted the brass nameplate, but I guess you used some corrosive liquid and gently sanded off the edges to get the shine.

@Treehugger for the weathering I drybrushed with light gray and washed with a mix of grey, white and black Abteilung oils.
The nameplate is the one from the kit, painted black and sanded with 8000 (maybe 4000? Not sure). But unfortunaltely there is a mistake made by Hobbyboss: They wrote "powrd".
