Finished! This was also my first attempt at actual weathering beyond simple panel lining. 

All told, I'm pretty pleased 

You can see where I used paint (Vallejo Game Color Gory Red) to repair the breaks in the decal.

As you can see, the decals were very fragile and prone to folding as well as tearing. I was left with some pretty gnarly gaps in more than a few places. 

This was my first time using Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500. It definitely won't be the last. 

I used the decal sheet to create a custom mask to protect the aluminum. It worked out pretty well!
