Para-Folland Gnat
So I'm kit-bashing Me P.1111 with parts from Folland Gnat.
Nose will be from Gnat.
Canopy will be also from Gnat.
Cockpit is from Gnat.
Jet exhaust is from Gnat. The nose has some lead weight.
Some interior parts painted with silver and black marker.
I wasn't satisfied with the air intake so I filled it afterwards with epoxy putty (brown stuff).
I didn't want to squish Gnat's nose so I have to relocate the nose wheel bay.
Added drogue parachute housing
After adding the ejection seat the cockpit is complete. There was no room for head support nor ejection firing handle.
Brush painting black base.
I became too lazy masking canopy. This might backfire in the end.
Black enamel base (Humbrol 33) was a mistake. Next paint layer (Humbrol 11 + 34) diluted the black base color so I have to paint few more layers. It has been a long time since I have painted a model with regular brush and enamel.
Grey Humbrol 164. Again needed two layers.
Then two layers of green Humbrol 168.
Landing gears added and details painted. Landing gears are original from Me P.1111 and they look awful. I tried to add some minor details, but let it be so the model gets finished faster. Gnat under carriage is prettier, but smaller and doesn't fit directly. Maybe front wheel could have been taken from Gnat.
Decals are added.
There was not much space on the fuselage for the big national insignia and I didn't have smaller spare decals. Also I had some problems with Micro Sol softener.
I figured out that the panel lines should be scribed again because my brushed clear coat filled them. Scribing painted surface is just very risky.
Black panel line wash.
It got satin varnish and the canopy mask is removed so it is now ready.
Para-Folland Gnat is ready!
The left wing has some super glue spilled on it. I really should get some super glue remover.

Thanks, Vincent! This really challenged my building skills. I hope my painting skills won't ruin this.

Camouflage looks good. Nice control with the brush, the edges are nicely clean.

Well the brush strokes still shows slightly, but atleast the panel lines are still visible. I have been better with the brush, but I have forgotten that skill.
