I started this kit in this year´s summer vacation in Italy - not too many parts and simple setup made this kit the right choice.

I think for its almost 50 yrs this kit captures shape and lines of the F-4E still very well. Revell´s younger F-4E/F is much worse to my opinion. But of course surface and small parts detail is no longer competitive to nowadays standards.

I came across the stories of the 57th FIS based in Keflavík. They used the F-4 in ADC grey during the 70s/80s. I like the Phantom in this livery.

Thanks to Scalemates I found the superb Euro Decals for a nice collection of 57th FIS Phantoms...

...and added a Master Pitot Tube and 2 resin bang seats. Rest is OOB.

I added all weapons provided in the kit to make the bottom side more interesting (and distract the viewer from some gaps and the very simplified landing gear...🙂)

Same Kit - built approx. 1993... at that time a Hasegawa kit was absolutely rare to get in my town... so I did a lot of efforts to "do it right"... and I was happy with the result at that time.
