Ha-1112 Buchon
this parts should be cut to receive the SBS resin nose
Fit is perfect
A G6 Kit tamiya kit with the eduard G6 (ready to be converted in Buchon) and another Tamiya kit with SBS resin nose
the resin fits perfect in the tamiya kit
riveted tamiya tails
I should eliminate the bumps on the sides of the eduard kit to convert it to buchon, maybe is better to use the G2 kit but i haven't found one. Not big problems indeed
Modelling the nose for 3d Print and glue to the Eduard Kit
Tamiya kit Dry test
Instrument panel for tamiya kit
Riveting the flaps of the tamiya kit
I use Galaxy tools riveter
done
this part of the wing, should be eliminated on the eduard Kit to make a room for a new 3d printed one
The part that should be done should be similar to the sbs kit one
On the tamiya kit you should eliminate a bit of material too
For obtain a template of the wing contours, I use miliput over sellotape
First 3d print test
Both models looking good
the detail is superb I think
I have realized that the general shape of the nose of the eduard Kit wasn't accurate so I decided to search for more documentation to make it closer to the real and re do it. The upper one is the older, and the other is the newer one, more accurate i think
complete with more details, like riveting, propellers, exhaust stacks.....
riveting the tamiya kit
wings ready
all the model completelly riveted
wing fecnes have been cut with a plotter in 0.13 evergreen plasticard
I have given a light coat of panel liner to check all the details
cannons seems quite nice
Not perfect but not bad
different iterations of the 3d printed nose for EDUARD Kit
all the photo etched installed on Tamiya+sbs kit
aerial outlet made with plasticard
both Buchons progressing
Pilot figure. Is a mix of ICM figure body+home made arms + ICM head plus scratch built hat
vest made in milliput
All the strings is thin alu foil cut to size
First stages of paint
Need to add some shadows
the pose is strange but i want to recreate a real photo.....
black base on the Tamiya+SBS kit ready for White aluminium from AK Extreme Metal
over the Black base I have applied the White aluminium from AK Extreme Metal
General arrangement of the secene
Underside in Blue H25
the Saint Andres cross painted in the ruder
All the markings have been painted with home made masks
Good result I think
Lightly weathered
Wheel Chocks 3d printed
Starting to create the base
Original Photo that serve as Inspiration for this project
The result, not exactly the same camera shot but almost!

Great stuff Jorge. I have this going on my bench too although I am trying to convert a Revell Schmitt so struggling a bit and taking a break.

I'll watch your expertise play out on your pair and will surely learn something. Are you doing a blue and an NMF version?

A very refreshing approach on that widely overstretched 109 topic, and an excellently built and painted model ! 👍

I fully agree with my mates, especially with Hanno. You came pretty close to the pic that inspired you.
