Very crisp moulding and great detail!

How am I going to paint this as smooth as silk??

Drilled holes in the brake discs. 0.5mm in the smaller disc, 0.6mm in the larger

It needs to be glued someday, why not today!

Dry fit to check where mould lines need to be eradicated

All parts cleaned and skewered

Added some Kristal Klear as lenses on the spedo and the Honda badges

Sticky business!

Sanded and polished

Started on the final assembly. Phase 1!

The rear fork didn’t want to fit over the frame. Some paint-shaving did the trick.

Same here. The eye on the right should meet it’s counterpart inside the chrome ring. Some scraping of the paint was needed.

In the end it worked out.

Phase 1 complete. The rest will be done later.

Your holes look great. I'm going to have to do the same. Great thing about a group build is you get to steal ideas from everyone else! 😄

The only real issue I had with mine was that I had too much paint build up on the front struts where the lower triple mount attaches. I ended up having to scrape out a bunch of paint to get the parts to fit correctly. Very tight tolerances!

Thanks David, I had to get rid of the Citroën on my bench and I had to Google 'lower triple mount'. Two chores done, so now it's full steam ahead to get my Monkey going
