Bedside Viper

Album image #1
Test fit of the Aires ejection seat and the maimed pilot. And it's a go!

Album image #2
Some ruthless surgery needed to turn the mummified pilot into a nice guy

Album image #3
Main gear bay detail is basic but extremely accurate, so with a little help from reference pics adding extra detail goes fast. Starboard side.

Album image #4
Port side.

Bay wires and pipes would be better added at this stage, later there'll be no space to manipulate. Trying different approaches to make it look busy.

Album image #8
Finally I managed to finish the bays wiring. Detail brush painting will be next, along with the cockpit, before the fuselage can be glued together.

Album image #9
I used Eduard's PE set on the bays, plus some extra wiring.
I didn't like fhe PE wires included in the set, they look quite unnatural IMO.

I just finished one of these straight from the box. It will be interesting to see a one fully tricked out.

Thank you all guys, and sorry for the late reply. Just finished the wheel bays detailing, it's time to paint all that detail!

Turned the bedside table into a crash workbench, due to Covid infection. I decided to begin this F-16 from Tamiya and let the other "complicated" projects aside for a while.
