Continuing with the Malta theme, this Spitfire overpainted with US Navy paint on the USS Wasp is the next project. The office is now complete.

Thanks Mates. The main build is complete and I've applied the main camo. The underside is RAF Sky Blue and the topside colors are US Navy Blue Grey and RAF Extra Dark Sea Grey. Mr Color lacquers were used -- needed to mix my own version of Sky Blue. Now painting on the markings using masks. Thanks for looking.

What shall I say Jim?! ....fabulous, beautiful, stunning? Yes, I'll say that 😉 👍
Great choice of markings as well, you rarely see the four cannon configuration on a model of the Mk. V.

Thanks all for the comments. Much appreciated.
@Sebastian: My understanding is that the four cannon config was important during the ferry operations off the carriers because Malta had a shortage of cannons. They often removed two of the cannons after they arrived at Malta.

Album info
This aircraft was one of the many brand new Spitfires flown from carriers to reinforce Malta during the siege of 1942. The RAF had requested aircraft delivered in camouflage suitable for operations over sea and Spitfires were hastily repainted from desert schemes with available paint stocks. This aircraft will be depicted in a two-tone scheme of US Navy paint that had been applied during transit on USS Wasp in May 1942.
