The German Army (Heer) of the Cold War

In 1955 erected and equipped with mainly US. stuff the Bundeswehr grew up to 12 field divisions and additional territorial forces. The core of the Panzertruppe was then formed by the famous MBT Leopard. A whole bunch of armoured vehicles was produced by famous tank plants such as Krauss-Maffei, Thyssen, Wegmann, Rheinmetall and others. In the beginning all vehicles were painted RAL6014 gelboliv, followed in the 80s by RAL6031 bronzegrün, RAL8027 lederbraun und RAL9021 teerschwarz.
