Jaguar XKE Le Mans 1952

Each year a special interest group in the Netherlands sets up a build along / buildoff during the Le Mans 24H race. Last year was my first and this year I wanted to do this E type.

I found a wonderful dark blue variant so It had to be that one ?.

Now i am not the most expierenced or gifted builder, I just enjoy it ?.

So it started yesterday at 16:00 and I finished (ish) it during the last lap (decals were placed in the last 2 laps)

So, is it top.ahelf./ show build ? No. I really enjoyed it and am ok with how it turned out within this very rigid and strict timeframe.

And yes the de chroming ,painting, sanding, glueing, stressing all happened within the last 24! hours.

I am curious to build the newer Revell kit of this car. This older kit had a lot of prep work and structural building in the front section.

Windows got fogged up duwnto the stress ( needed to clear coat something else and picked up the windows?)

I added the fuel filler at the back and the air outlet too.
Also had to draw the start numbers and printed them out.

Yes i know its rough , but for me a decent outcome given the time frame. The other builds are really amazing tbh!
