Willys Model B ran over every battlefield as a means of transit for soldiers. This small sized multi-purpose four wheel drive vehicle was used for liaison, command, communication and sometimes as an ambulance or a light firearms carrier. The angle-iron cutter was welded to the bumper to guard against piano wire which was used by the German Army to decapitate the enemy.
