Zvezda kit no. 4821 in 1:48 scale built with following extras:
Quinta 3D decal set no. QD48007
Begemot decal set no. 48-052
KV Models canopy mask set no. 48130-1
Yak-130 prototype as seen at MAKS 2007
An extraordinarily beautiful kit from Zvezda. It's a tremendous piece of engineering and design work, cleverly designed, full of details to the limit. But (there's a "but", as always) is a kit that demands extreme attention. If you clean the parts poorly or haphazardly after removing them from the frame, or if you don't dry-fit them first and try to glue them without carefully examining how they will be applied, you will probably experience a little incompatibility somewhere and be able to say "what a terrible kit". Don't say I didn't warn you, I'm making this kit for the second time, I threw the first one away for the reasons I mentioned, this time I took extreme care, however (at a point that only I know) I had a small problem.
The Quinta 3D decal set is awesome. It adds great richness to the cockpit, but parts of them that need to be bent, such as belts, can easily break down because the material strength is not enough. So I realized later that I had lost one of the clips on the belt. Don't be fooled by the blue tone in the photos, I think the camera sees this color differently from the human eye.
The Begemot decal set is very rich, but some are very difficult to apply because the decals are very thin. I still have a set of stencils left, and even if I use the stencils from the kit, I have enough decals to make at least 5-6 more planes, not including the ones that came out of the kit.
KV models' mask material is good, so for the "detcord" I used parts from this mask set, not Quinta's. However, after the paint and varnish are removed, the mask material quickly decomposes, be careful when removing it after the plane is finished!
This is an absolutely fantastic kit, I highly recommend it to anyone.
