I do hope you do this one soon Andrea. With your touch, I think it will be spectacular. As I understand it, the nose length of the Academy kit has been said by some to be too short, but others now say it is spot on. Apparently, someone quoted a wrong fuselage length in a reference years ago and so a myth was born. To my eye, the kit's nose looks fine and I gather the SH upgrades fix the kits minor shortcomings with new and more accurate parts.

Thx! I was and still are working on five different projects at the same time (the first finished two are the 190A-3 and the 109E-4/B), and have to force me to NOT start other one(s)... but I still spend some time looking in my references for the next... It is so hard to decide!!! The only thing I know for sure by now, is that it will be a multiple build of the same aircraft, in order of not having my space full of tens of reference books on different subjects!!!

About the presumed Academy issue, I followed that discussion years ago, but I am always a bit dubious about taking for absolutely correct a plan and compare a model to it... I am more on the "if it looks right, it is right" approach, and as you said, SH fixed the few obvious inaccuraces

I think the same way Andrea. I trust my own eyes and photos more than drawings and quoted dimensions. Yet so many people seem to place 100% trust in them. Strange. Anyway, as I say I do hope this one gets onto your workbench soon, but whatever you do next I'll follow with great interest.
