This is to be a 3.Serie/La.S. Pz. I ausf A built in 1936 and painted in Buntfarbenanstrich pre-war camouflage of Grün, Braun and Erdgelb (green, brown and earth yellow).
Takom's kit cannot be built in 4.Serie out of the box because of the the front glacis hatch which is not wide enough, and the presence of only 2 fuel filler caps on the rear deck.
This kit is a mix of early and late features and could be built as a war time overhauled 2.Serie or 3.Serie but I thought it would be interesting to build an original 3.Serie (or at least as close as possible) as it would have looked like freshly built in late 35/36.

A lovely kit, despite the fact it is a mix of different versions. I am currently building a Panther G but it is a big project so I might very well start on this one soon to break things up a bit. Looks like a straight forward build even with the after-market. I would love to see some early track links and later type horns coming out in the future. One can always hope.

I believe there are a set of metal track pins available but the cost is more than the kit.

I really wanted to get those but they really are ridiculously expensive. So I gave it some thought and figured out a way to obtain the same accurate look with the original plastic track pins from the kit. When I get round to it I will post pictures on this project's page ????
