Better Than Your Average Sled - "Sever-2" Aerosan
Soviet Aerosan based on GAZ-M20 Chassis

With it again becoming winter I felt reminded of a particular little kit by Military Wheels in 1/72: the "Sever-2" ("North-2") Aerosan. Aerosani are a bunch of quite weird little vehicles popular in the northern parts of the former Soviet union and are essentially sleds powered by aircraft enginesto enable quick movment over snowy landscapes. In the case of Sever-2, a GAZ-M20 passenger-car chassis was fitted with 4 outriggers mounting skids in place of wheels as well as a radial aircraft engine at the rear.
I intend to place the vehicle onto a small vignette to do a fun little winter scene as asomewhat "quick" project to practice some skills (including of course doing snow etc.).
