Second project in 33 years!

Do not know why I bought this little gem of a kit but it went together fine until I started snapping off little parts that stuck out, like the landing gear Or the lovely V-shaped nav-blade antennae. Once I got those bit fixed I managed to get a hold of a VERY old can of white primer paint and it spit little globs of goo all over my project. Since I didn’t have any thinner available I had to let it sit and dry then I had sanded it back down. Panel lines rescribed, new can of paint and it looked good. That is until I tried to put the decals on. The disintegrated and discolored the glossy white paint. I learned later that you should add a layer of clear varnish before you add your decals. I repainted the plane Bright yellow and forgot about the decals.
