I have spent a bit of time comparing the kits - Academy is a fair kit, a bit underscale and the lightest on detail, but will look just fine. Academy has done well with most of their kits, and for much less than the the newer kits.
If you do another P-39, going by Bert Kinzey's P-39 Detail and Scale book, the RS Model is spot on for dimensions. The ARMA kit is very close, a wee bit underscale, but it is the best detailed out of the box. And with ARMA, you get masks, and cool weights designed for the kit. ARMA did some great research!
Trying to figure out the colors for the sand/pink/ whatever color the P-39s were painted in the field during their brief time on Canton Atoll. Seems we modellers have been debating this for many years!

I think my little project will be fun - spent the evening correcting ech kit's panel lines -most for a close to accurate '"Q" model are small eliminations to the wings. The Academy kit is very well done, only needed a few filled in.

Free French will be a cool scheme.

Bonjour, Oui, il est disponible, mais il n'y a qu'un kit sur les deux d'origine. Il est complet, scellé et les decals aussi.

Je vends le kit complet avec ses décals évidemment, et j'en voudrais 25 E. L'envoi par Mondial Relay devrait rester raisonnable. Je peux faire des photos, mais tout est comme neuf, en sachet scéllé, et les décals sont parfaits aussi, avec leur feuille de protection.

Not certain of what tires they had ; may have changes depending on the periode ans the area of operation..

The Edouard set is nice but requires somme additional scratch.
If one intends toi leave hatches closes, then Eduard set isn't realy required.

Looks good, especially given that it's an easy click kit. Is it worth the money, because it's quite expensive for such a kit? Love the DB5 though, and the legendary Bond gadgets only add to that. I guess it's DeHart, Kyle DeHart now. 🙂

Marcel, thank you so much. And I'll have my martini shaken, not stirred!! As for the kit, I got it for what I thought was a fair price but I do know it's a bit pricey. If you're ok with a curbside kit with no engine (fine with me) I think it's a really nice kit. The Bond details are fun, the decal sheet is comprehensive, the poseable steering is a nice touch and everything has some nicely molded details. I hope for a standard DB5 sometime in future.

Bozzer, thanks so much for dropping in to check it out. This was a simple build but I surely had fun with it. And as I grew up watching the movies I rather enjoyed building the movie car…no sign of Eva Green, Honor Blackman or Shirley Eaton though, mores the pity. 😂
