Hi Bob, sorry for my late reply. The kit isnstill there and in new condition. I need to check the shipping cost and what is about costums (because of which didpatch form to use). I am on my way to a scale model show. I will come back to you next week. I hope it is ok for you.
By the way, about buying on Scalemates. I sell and buy since years and I only once had trouble with a guy. 99% Was all ok with the Scalemates.
Cheers Christian

Hi Bob, I quickly checked the shipping costs. 18,49€ for a small parcel without tracking and insurance.
Now take a seat! 47,99€ for a parcel with tracking and insurance.

Thank you Christian, I see what you mean about taking a seat 😎. I am not used to working a lot with international shipping. In reality this is not too bad a total price in the current model world. I eventually want to acquire this kit, and may revisit a purchase. Next to building, model shows are my favorite place to visit. I hope you have a safe and pleasant journey. As I learn more about Scalemates I look forward to staying in contact. Cheers, Bob

Hello Christian, my best email, bob.haltom@gmail.com yes I can do paypal, that works well. I think the tracking and insurance are a good idea for long distance. I hope the model show was a success. Thank you for staying in communication. Cheers, Bob

Hello Christian
Just 10 minutes ago I had a Norseman C-46 make a landing on my front porch. It arrived in excellent condition - and a day early. Thank you very much for taking care to package so well. The box looks like I bought it from a hobby shop today and the detail of the kit is very well defined. I will indeed have fun building this kit and look forward to staying in touch. Thank You very much, Happy Modeling, Cheers Bob

Thanks! 😀 It's the first WW1 aircraft I've made so was a bit hairy at times, but it seems to have come out reasonably okay 😅
Eduard say the engine is a "160HPMercedesD.III".

Not bad, but I must admit I do not like the violet, which is much to "strong" and has nothing to do with the original shade.
Yes, that is a problem with paints for models - more than 50 shades of gray but many other color shades are not available.
Luckily I have wonderful "German purpur" and "Mauve" shades from "Drooling Bulldog" in my stash (really pity this brand seems to be out of business now; the website is still there).
AK offers also a WWI set with mauve and lilac (I don't know it personally as I do not work with water acrylics): ak-interactive.com/p..n-aircraft-colors-2/
Here are examples of my interpretations.
Mauve on Junker D.I: Junkers D.I 5185/18, Hombeek, MFJG, November 1918 | Album by bughunter (1:48)
On my Fokker E.V I used oil paints: Fokker E.V | Album by bughunter (1:48)

Sorry to hear about your tanks, Ken. I've heard nothing but bad news, about Rustoleum clear. Thankfully, we don't have it over here, but I've had the same thing happen, with a cheap clear, I once used. Basically, it was too hot, for the paint. This kit reminds me very much of my Hideout Truck, but the frame is longer on mine. I did enjoy the build though, despite it being a bit of work. Keep going mate, you're doing an awesome job! Remember to test fit all the plumbing, before you commit to glue? It's a lot of fingers and thumbs! Just find that easiest way for you and use the directions as a guide, not the bible. 👍

. SDR Piloten Christof Motti, painted him up, and slapped him in, basically just the stock pilot, with the Super Jerry blind cockpit gear, added cables, may have to sand his butt down, as you can't see much of the poor swine, when he's sealed in his walking coffin. That'll do for today.

On to the legs of the Jerry Heavy Super Armored Fighting Suit. Now, the newer WAVE release has the shorter foot with cleaner details, but the old NITTO release has the longer but softer detailed foot, as it's a chicken walker essentially, I'm after stability, so I'm going to sacrifice detail for a solid stance.

Chicken walker Ma.k, I dig it. I really like this design. Mines a super heavy Gigant Floh, armed with anti-air rockets, anti personnel machine gun, and a recoilless rifle. Bad ass.

Added the recoilless rifle as a dry fit mock up of the chin. Looks really nice all glued up, looks really angry with the solid hood, but you can see more of the pilot though with the blown glass hood... Hmm 🤔

That's where I am today, still very much a WIP. I'm working my way around it, adding extra armor, smoke launchers, it's going to be very busy, but it should look pretty awesome.

That's it for today, getting there. Just a dry fit of parts added drooping wiring to the under engine area, I'll change the mounts of the rockets, to make them more dynamic, cockpit enclosed forever, adding small nuts and bolts, pretty happy with it so far.

After adding a cast texture to the whole main body, the start of the winter white wash camo on the Gigant Floh. Rust washes next, then grey wash, then white. Still have a fair few details and wiring still to add. Sort out the rocket launchers fit, aerials, armour plates nuts and bolts.

Painting has now got to the second grey wash stage, I'll be going up to off white soon, also used a muck wash and rusted up some areas of the engine deck. Rear armour is removable to see the engine deck, fan and exhaust detail. Painted up the lower engine power pipes too..

Added the Fug XII Radio mast and painted it up, and finished of the front smoke candle launchers. Added bits of wire to the launchers. Drilled out the radio mast, added thin wire and a small length of spring wire for a detailed holder. Not bad.

That's all for today, put first coat of paint on the rocket launchers, I've spruced mine up by adding extra sensors, and I've changed the mounting system, by drilling and pinning with brass rod, moves them out a bit more, for a more natural look. Jobs a good un.

so today ive made the MG82 machine gun, painted it up and i've gotten to the markings and weathering stage, only basic ID and colours added so far. All weapons are now fitted, two triplex rocket launchers, one recoilless rifle, four smoke launcher candles and one underslung MG82 machine gun. Going with classic Orange.
