Snap build and review of the kit
1/12 kit of Honda Super Cub 110 from Fujimi
Box is top open, rigid box.
Sprues are mostly individually packed in separate bags.
Instruction manual is fold out type, Japanese only. (Get your Google Lens app ready!)
3 colors of clear parts, rubber tires and stickers are included.
Usage of stickers is understandable considering it is used for chromed parts but for someone who's going to paint the kit, water slide decals is missed.
Metallic parts are injection molded with swirly "metallic" plastic.
External parts are finished with very nice gloss finish. If you're just going to snap build the kit, it'll look good!
Green parts also look very shiny.
Other parts are appropriately finished with matte finish.
Eh, metallic parts doesn't look that good though.
Front fender has a molding line right in the middle. You can sand it down and paint it or if you're just snap building you can sand it down and then buff it out with compound.
Gloss finish is quite attractive although they're somewhat of dust magnet.
Rear fender consists of two parts and parting line is right in the middle. You have to glue those parts and sand it down to remove it.
Engine also has parting line but it is well hidden under all the details.
Finished snap build. I didn't assemble the clear parts for the headlight because it looked impossible to get out once I snap it in.
I forgot the license plate. If you fit the license plate in, it almost hides the parting line in the rear fender.
Instrument panel is done with a sticker and a clear part but I didn't finish it because it also looked impossible to disassemble once put in.
I think I have to practice painting chrome paints...
It will look very good once all the metallic parts are painted. You can even leave the external parts because they are very well finished right out the box.
