Ford GT Le Mans- Take 2
As I build, I’m going to take a photo of each step. Step 1 completed, I did change the paint scheme up a bit, instead of the black interior I went with a grey this time in hopes that the details would show a bit better.
My own paint scheme this time, a deep amethyst purple that I custom mixed with a gold accent.
Step 2 completed: Again, some minor paint changes to enhance details.
This kit came with seat belt decals, and I opted to use them instead of making seat belts as I did before.

OK, so much for a photo of each step, building the engine was far to step intensive and boring as I did not paint it until the last step. So, here is step 8, the engine and putting the engine and interior on the chassis (step 9).
Step 10 starts to add the roll cage. The thin roll cage bars were warped, used twist ties to hold while the glue set up.
Step 15 installs the dashboard. Applying the decals on the steering wheel was tricky with the molded buttons, should have sanded the steering wheel flat first.
Step 16 completes the roll cage with the mesh.
Steps through 26 add air intakes.
Steps through 33 add the suspension and brake systems.
Here it is with the body and chassis connected. After painting it, I sprayed it with 2 coats of Future floor polish, then applied all the decals, then another 2 coats of floor polish. I left out the side and rear windows so at least if you look closely, you can try to see some of the interior and engine bay details, but most are now hidden.
Rear taillights added.
Here are the two Ford GT’s side by side:

I enjoyed building this kit so much, I bought another one. Want to try my own pain scheme this time.
