Austrian Eurofighter Typhoon "Tiger"
Comparison of the Austrian (foreground) and German (background) Eurofighter. I had good results using FS36231 on my "Airpower19" Eurofigher in the past.
Ever since I saw the Eurofighter in this stunning livery at the Airpower 2022, I knew I had to build it. The time has finally come. Even though I'm working with an old Revell kit that has its challenges, I'm excited to finally bring this project to life!
cockpit out of the box, except a scratch-built ejection seat handle
cockpit out of the box, except a scratch-built ejection seat handle
Creating rivets that would later mostly disappear under decals
the issual fitting issues of the dorsal spine and airbrake on this Revell kit
and the usual gaps between the fuselage and wings
gap filling
and even more gap filling
tiny stencils
the Austrian Tiger finally coming to life!
Last update before the reveal tomorrow. As you can see, the decals on the fuel tanks were a bit problematic. Luckily, everything else worked out well and I'm happy to add the Austrian Tiger to my finished kits of Austrian jets.

Servus Starfish.
May I ask which paint do you use for radom and fuselage. I'm struggeling a bit to get good recommentations to transfer the FSxwz codes into a specific color type for the various available brands. thx

Watching. Are the austrian Eurofighters in different colors than the german ones? IF not, the fuselage should be FS35237 which is Vallejo Model Air 71.114 and the radom is FS36314 which should be Vallejo Model Air 71.121. At least that's what I used.

Rumpf FS36231 und Radom FS36314.
Der deutsche Eurofighter hat einen leichten Blaustich, der österreichische ist einfach nur hellgrau! Siehe auch den Airpower19 Eurofighter den ich gebaut habe.

Looking forward to the finished model. The decals would be my biggest issue, there are plenty there.

Hey Michael! I'm excited about the build journey and can't wait to see the final result. Having photos of both the Austrian and German planes side by side is be amazing.

What a great model of an incredibly beautiful aircraft. I love this tiger paint job. How was working with the decals?

Danke Stefan! Working with the decals was quite straightforward but as usual you need to take your time, especially with the fuel tanks. There's a video with all the details linked above if you're interested.
