Eduard PE parts doing a really good job - I didn't expect that this DIY cockpit will turn that nice,...  

Done. This took quite a while, but I am happy with the result. 

Kits HUD is a bit chunky....good to have Eduard PE available. 

just for fun dry fit,.. part will go into spare box. 

Fuselage fittted together - ready to paint the cockpit. 

...done. 

First parts of the "new" HUD istalled. 

After a dip into Gauzy - nice & and shiny cockpit windows. 

Next steps prior canopy installation,... 

 

Interessting detail indentified per coinsidence - - did not notice this before. Maybe this is a mistake by myself during clueing the 2 fuselage halves - or this was already there on the sprue ..> the rudder is NOT strait vertical rather than bended slightly but noticable to the righthand side. 

After correction (hot water, notches & tamiya cement, filling, sanding) 

Eduards PE HUD installed,..... 

Metallized Engines & Nozzels 

Dry fit the Canopy. 

Starting with masking the windows,... 

...and done. 

Same method as used on the '19Typhoon build - I did go without primer but with good old preshadeing of panel lines. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Done. Also here credits to "starfish" - thx for the track wihch was slightly modyfied to fit scale and the quite small but long picture frame. Hope to add some final pic with a better camera soon.
