Always nice to see a Christen Eagle (or a Pitts, for that matter... or any aerobatic bipe!) 👍

Album info

I've picked this kit up for £7 at IPMS Salisbury show. Fun built, putting your patience into a test. Part fit is good, however there is a lot of flash on the smallest details. Decals, I was worried, that it may disintegrate on the application - luckily, all went good. Soak it well, and apply a lot of microcsol setting solution and there weren't any problems. Pilot figurine is a PJ Productions resin. Definately a colourful addition to any collection ?

HISTORY: The Christen Eagle was developed by Christen Industries (now part of Aviat Aircraft) as a DIY airplane. The prototype flight took place in 1977. It is an expensive machine, requiring a lot of work when assembling, but it is characterized by good steering and stability. It is also easy to fly. In the civil market, the plane competes with the Pitts Special. There were ONLY four single seated planes built.
