This project uses the Matchbox B-17G components rather than the kit suppied Frog B-17E molds. Moreover it corrects the error in the kit fuslage tail which is missing the 3 foot extension when the G series components were upgraded. The kit cargo body is a crude, thick walled affair. However, that makes it sturdy enough to modify the tail whereas the Airmodel vac would hardly take the change without lots of internal structure.
