What I don't understand is the green wheathering color: is this AT-ST abandoned and standing in the deep forest for months?

I agree Michael. That´s the reason why I also like to build Sci-fy models. To my fantasy this finish must be the result of long time service in a humid and warm atmosphere with less maintenance.

That is great! Despite being an avid star wars fan, I've never considered doing one of these, I think I'm going to start looking for one now though.
